Sometimes in our culture, we think dreams are mostly for young people. Hit a certain age and you're supposed to just keep doing what you already do – or just retire and take it easy. Ari Goldman's book is based on the idea that it's never too late to pursue your dream, no matter how big or small it is.
Shot primarily Dex's house which is filled with guitars, old amps, and a Dex-curated assortment of records, weird things, and pictures of his influences. It was like doing a film in Elvis's house, only an alternative Elvis who never wore sparkling jump suits or became a pop phenomenon. Instead, he stayed true to his music and kept getting better and sharper.
